Abstract

This article illustrates the analytic method for calculating the heat exchange intensity of vaporizing drops atomized in gaseous medium considering their movement mode. The drop sequentially passes both non-stationary and stationary movement phases in the working space of mixing heat exchanger. Thus, there is a need to calculate the quantity of heat the drop absorbs at each phase separately. Assuming that the drop diameter remains constant after the heat exchange between the drop and air flow within the chamber, we can calculate the heat input at different movement phases. This approach to the heat exchange intensity calculation enables us to use the derived formulas for any mixing heat exchange chamber and any number of working spaces in it.
